West Central Railway (WCR) is one of the 18 railway zones in India. It was established on 1st April 2003 and is headquartered in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. The West Central Railway zone is responsible for operating and managing the railway network in the western and central regions of India.
The West Central Railway covers a vast area and comprises three divisions:
1. Jabalpur Division: This division is headquartered in Jabalpur and covers the railway lines in the state of Madhya Pradesh, including Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, and Singrauli districts.
2. Bhopal Division: The Bhopal Division is headquartered in Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh. It covers railway lines in the districts of Bhopal, Vidisha, Hoshangabad, and parts of Sehore and Raisen.
3. Kota Division: The Kota Division is headquartered in Kota, Rajasthan. It covers the railway lines in the southeastern part of Rajasthan, including Kota, Bundi, and Jhalawar districts.
